Specimen Identification:
Quartz & Feldspar Ledger Cluster with Muscovite Mica
This natural mineral specimen features milky quartz hosting a localized drusy crystal pocket, intergrown with blocky feldspar crystals exhibiting stepped cleavage faces characteristic of pegmatitic growth. Fine muscovite mica occurs along natural stress planes, producing subtle silvery reflections. Iron oxide staining traces ancient groundwater pathways through the matrix.
Formed in a silica-rich, slow-cooling environment, this piece preserves visible evidence of its geologic history and crystal development.
