From Baby Girl Heaven to Mystic Dragonfly Creations

Many of you first knew this Page by another name:

Baby Girl Heaven.

When my granddaughters were little, I built that community around beautiful children’s clothing, young mothers, grandmothers, families, and the joy of celebrating those precious early years.

I sold clothing to families across the United States, but Baby Girl Heaven became more than a place to shop.

It became a community.

Many of you trusted me, supported my small business, shared pieces of your lives with me, and allowed me to be part of your daughters’ and granddaughters’ stories. I have never forgotten that.

The name changed. The thread did not.

As the girls grew, my own life and creative work grew too. I returned more deeply to my first love—painting. I began looking more closely at the stones, fossils, plants, wildlife, memories, and unusual discoveries around me.

One forgotten stone led me into writing. That question became a story, then a book, then another book, and eventually part of the larger world I now call the Dragonfly Archive.

In October 2025, Baby Girl Heaven became Mystic Dragonfly Creations.

I realize some of you may have seen the new name, the artwork, the stones, the books, and Ignivar and wondered what happened to the Page you originally followed.

The answer is simple:

I am still here.

The business changed because my season of life changed, but the values underneath it did not.

Baby Girl Heaven was built around family, beauty, trust, creativity, and shared moments. Mystic Dragonfly Creations carries those same values into a different season through original art, natural discoveries, books, and the Dragonfly Archive.

Baby Girl Heaven was one chapter of my creative life. Mystic Dragonfly Creations is the chapter growing from everything that came before it.

What Mystic Dragonfly Creations has become

Today, this work brings together my painting, my curiosity about the natural world, The Dragonfly Journals, and an ever-growing record of objects, photographs, discoveries, artwork, memories, and stories.

Some things in the Archive remain simply what they are: an object, a photograph, a painting, an observation, or an unanswered question. Others become seeds for fiction.

The distinction matters to me. The real object comes first. The story grows from what is actually there.

Ignivar and the mythology of The Dragonfly Journals belong to the creative world. The stones, artwork, photographs, observations, and memories that inspire that world remain grounded in their real records.

To everyone who came with me

If you followed Baby Girl Heaven years ago, you are not standing in the wrong place.

You are seeing what happened when the woman behind that little business kept creating.

I still believe in making beautiful things. I still care about family, memory, women, creativity, curiosity, and the small details that make a life meaningful.

Mystic Dragonfly Creations is not the disappearance of Baby Girl Heaven.

It is what grew from it.

And if you are discovering Mystic Dragonfly Creations for the first time, welcome. There is history here, but there is also a great deal still being built.

The website is becoming more than a shop. My hope is that it becomes a place readers and longtime friends return to—to follow the books, see new artwork and discoveries, read the stories behind the Archive, and watch this body of work grow over time.

The Dragonfly Archive is open.
